A community we’re proud to call home.
Newton’s Road is a nonprofit organization dedicated to STEM-related learning for all youth in our region since 2010. Through these experiences and career exploration, we empower our young people to thrive in our community and beyond.
With STEM jobs (in science, technology, engineering and math) expanding at an accelerated pace, there is high demand for skilled graduates. Newton’s Road advocates for STEM learning and educates our community on the importance of critical thinking skills and broadening the pathways to STEM careers. We work to reach underserved populations in our region, emphasizing that all children should have the opportunity to learn skills that will lead them to productive, good-paying careers. We believe that success can be fueled by developing STEM-based skills.
In 2018, 20Fathoms was founded on two interlocking goals: to provide a home for the region’s entrepreneurs and tech professionals and to help strengthen the Grand Traverse Region’s economy and quality of life. 20Fathoms does this by delivering essential startup services, providing a community workspace, and connecting entrepreneurs with crucial resources that facilitate business growth.
20Fathoms is a membership organization for entrepreneurs, intrapreneurs, tech professionals, and other innovators who find a home here. Ours is a supportive community with an eye for cultivating innovation and ideas, and fostering business growth.
TCNewTech is a community of tech enthusiasts, businesses, entrepreneurs, and Michigan policymakers building a culture of innovations, economic growth, and opportunity for local talent in the Traverse City region.
