ATLAS Space Operations’ Ryan Clulo Recognized By SSPI As A “20 Under 35” Outstanding Young Space Pro

Selection highlights integral contributions to ATLAS’ FREEDOM™ Platform, development of future industry veterans

ATLAS Space Operations, Inc., a leading innovator in communications for the space industry, is pleased to announce the recognition of Freedom Software Engineer Ryan Clulo by Space & Satellite Professionals International (SSPI) in its “20 Under 35” list of young professionals to watch in the coming years.

Clulo’s inclusion in this list comes at the heels of other accolades, such as the Catalyst Space Accelerator’s selection of him to participate in the Resilient Space Communications Cohort.

In naming Clulo to the list, SSPI acknowledges Clulo’s contributions to the development of ATLAS’ revolutionary FREEDOM Platform, his building of relationships leading to an Air Force Small Business Innovation Research proposal, and participation as chairperson of the ATLAS Space Explorers, which reflects SSPI’s own goal of inspiring the next generation of space industry experts.

“In the relatively short time he has been with us, Ryan has burst onto the scene as a young leader in our industry,” said Sean McDaniel, CEO and co-founder of ATLAS Space Operations. “Ryan’s contributions and initiatives has proven to be an indispensable asset to our mission.”

Clulo began his career at ATLAS as a software engineer in 2018 after attending Marquette University. His current role sees him creating secure, cloud based applications to enable worldwide climate monitoring capabilities, and he is beginning work on building ATLAS’ ability to perform cognitive constellation management.

SSPI provides programs that promote the space and satellite industries as indispensable infrastructure of the modern world, and provides research, career, and management education for individuals in these industries. SSPI’s profile of Ryan can be viewed here.
